Our Engagement

We were at a family reunion camp out with LeeAnn's family, when Steve asked LeeAnn if she'd like to go on a hike. Of course she did! So we took lunch with us, and headed down a random trail. Later on we found a giant rock to climb up and sit on to eat our lunch, and that's when Steve said he wanted to chat. He said "I'm not sure I like how our relationship is." At this point LeeAnn just about killed him. We'd been talking marriage, and here he was breaking up!! That's when he pulled out the ring. It shown brilliantly in the sun. LeeAnn still teases him to this day that after scaring her like that, she made him kneel down proper and propose. We came back from the hike and announced our engagement by "showing off LeeAnn's flowers" to everyone. It took a few people a second to notice the ring on the hand she was holding the purple flowers in. LeeAnn's mother's reaction was the best! She literally squealed, then cried:)
